Crabtree & Evelyn to Launch Eco-Friendly Gift Card

Crabtree & Evelyn have announced that they are replacing their paper gift vouchers in the UK with environmentally-friendly recyclable plastic Gift Cards. The new Gift Card will be launched in November in partnership with G-T-P Group Ltd, allowing Crabtree & Evelyn to capitalise on the pre-Christmas market.

Since Crabtree & Evelyn offers naturally inspired remedies, the cards will be made of an environmentally-friendly, recyclable plastic that has a far lower cradle to grave carbon footprint than most other plastics.

Cards will be available to purchase across Crabtree & Evelyn’s 41 stores nationwide and online at www.crabtree-evelyn.co.uk. Customers can use the Gift Card to purchase in Crabtree & Evelyn stores, with web purchases and corporate sales planned for the future.

The move to plastic in the UK follows the success the successful launch of the electronic gift card in the United States. “Crabtree & Evelyn is an internationally renowned company,” comments Bretton Essex-Evans, Marketing Manager for Crabtree & Evelyn, ”and we plan to launch the Gift Card in other countries including France, Dubai and South Africa, in the near future.”
