Cards International, the global card industry's leading newsletter, has recognised G-T-P's rising profile, with an in-depth interview with Helen Child, G-T-P's Chief Executive.
In the exclusive interview, Helen revealed how G-T-P entered the prepaid market, and why we took the decision to become a MasterCard issuer first, rather than a programme manager. G-T-P took our reconciliation, compliance and fraud skills and expertise and simply expanded them into our MasterCard issuing.

Helen also spoke about her predictions for the future. With the market split 50:50 between open and closed loop cards, G-T-P is markedly different from a lot of other prepaid solution providers because we are able to offer our Clients whatever they want. "Given the current economic climate and uncertainties, many opportunities for Clients will arise and it is important that you can offer choices to those clients on how to address these requirements and fully meet their needs." In the Cards International article Helen also identified some of the wide and varied challenges she believes the prepaid industry faces, highlighting:
And where does Helen think G-T-P will be in the next 12 months? "Ultimately the company has grown very fast over the last eight years and our key challenge has been to ensure that the great team we have built up continues to deliver our company values of pride, passion, innovation, excellence and integrity."
