Increasing customer spending.
The average load value in the UK is £256, consistent with data from the USA and Canada. 10% of Gift Card users are new customers7 and 80% make an extra visit to use their card8. Over half of UK customers will pay over the value of their Gift Cards when redeeming9, in fact various previous studies have shown that customers spend on average 40% above the value of the card10.
Grow customer loyalty.
On average there are 2.74 transactions on an anonymous Gift Card11 - studies show that once a purchaser buys a Gift Card, they buy more. The addition of a Loyalty Programme to a Prepaid Card can increase this to as many as 7 transactions, creating a card that delivers incremental sales with added customer management information.
